Matthew Smith - Meeting Facilitator
My name is Matthew Smith and I am a Senior in Software Engineering graduating in May of 2020. I've worked on a few projects here at Iowa State including an Android Application that plotted Gas, Sewage, and Electrical lines on Google Maps, and an IOS app that allowed Iowa State students to buy and sell tickets, furniture, and electronics. Aside from that, I've also been working at Maverick Software Consulting since April of 2019. Maverick provides a collaborative effort with Thomson Reuters where students can work exclusively with Software Engineers from Thomson and provide software solutions on a daily basis. After graduation, I plan on committing with Thomson Reuters full time in Eagan, Minnesota so I can further strengthen my skills as an Entry Level Software Engineer.
Garrett Harkness - Scribe
My name is Garrett Harkness. I am a Senior in Software Engineering and plan to graduate in May of 2020. I originally started my collegiate journey at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign studying Engineering Physics in the fall of 2013. In November 2013, I began doing undergraduate research in High Energy Physics for Professor Kevin Pitts on the CDF experiment at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. My research relied heavily on writing C++ code in a Unix environment. I worked heavily on generating simulated particle collions using PYTHIA's implementation of Monte Carlo Methods. This research helped me realize I had a tremendous passion for programming. During Spring of 2015, I decided to transfer from UIUC to Iowa State, in order to switch my course of study to Software Engineering. During my time at Iowa State, I spent 3 semesters doing a co-op at SHAZAM in Des Moines, IA. While at SHAZAM, I was a Automated Test Engineer Intern. After graduation, I plan to pursue a career in web development in the Madison/Milwaukee area in Wisconsin.
Kevan Patel - Report Manager
My name is Kevan Patel. I am a Senior in Software Engineering and I will be graduating in May of 2020. I have worked on a handful of other projects at my time here at Iowa State University. My first group project was an Android Application called Util 3D that plotted gas, sewage, and electrical lines on Google Maps using someone's currently location. I have also worked on an iOS application called CySell for Iowa State students to buy and sell tickets furinture and electronics. They could meet by sharing their location and chat with each other creating accounts. As for work experience, I have been working as a Web Developer and Linux Systems Administrator for Iowa State University's Human Science Department since December of 2018. I have also worked with Iowa State's Child Welfare Training and Research Project by writing plugins, scripts, and doing website maintanance for them. After graduation, I plan to get some job experience in the Midwest and then move to the West Coast in four to five years afterwards.
Shiwei Wang - Lead Test Engineer
My name is Shiwei Wang. I am a Senior in Software Enginerring and I will be graduating in May of 2020. I have learned different programming skill from previous class. I had joined 3 or 4 groups to product a group project. My first group project is about Android application, it is called Promise that the software can invite third person as witness of two people pay back. Also, I had group experience in ComS 319 and ComS 329. For work experience,I had 2018 summer intern in China at HaiKang version, I was doing basic MySQL data saving and maintanance, and I also had 2019 summer intern in my town for a company and I was doing website developing and testing for them. Aftre graduation, I plan to have a job in Alibaba at HangZhou in China and move back to China.
Qiwei Li - Lead Development Engineer

My name is Qiwei Li. I am a Senior in Software Engineering. I have a lot of projects in my last three years.

And many of them took a lot of my free time in order to complete. I have a lot of interest in AI programming so that I will take graduate class in order to achieve that goal. Speaking of myself, I do learn a lot of knowledge about mobile developing and Web programming. I love Python programming language more than others. Before I took the senior design class, I do have a very High expectation so that I spend a lot of time on this Project in order to apply everything I have learned in the past three years.
